- 2 Baking Sheets
- Optional: Parchment Paper to Line Trays
Ingredients
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2 Sticks of Butter (1 Cup), softened
- 3/4 Cup of Granulated Sugar
- 1 Cup of Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract
- 2 & 1/4 Cup of Flour
- A Pinch of Baking Soda
- A Pinch of Salt
- 12oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Optional: Chopped Walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your Oven to 350F with the Rack in the Center
- Mix Wet Ingredients Until Combined
- Eggs, Butter, Sugars, Vanilla
- Mix in Dry Ingredients Until Mostly Combined
- Once the dough is mixed, add in the Chocolate Chips and Walnuts (if including).
- After all ingredients are incorporated, take a small spoon to form balls of dough about the size of a golfball. They do NOT have to be smooth/uniform.
- Lay the dough ball onto your tray, being careful not to overcroud the tray, as the cookies will spread out during the baking proccess.
- Insert the tray of cookies into the oven for 10-14 minutes. They should be a light golden brown. Start laying out your second batch of cookies on your second tray, if available.
- Once the first batch is complete, take them out to rest for 2-3 minutes. After cooling shortly, place them on a wire wrack or plate without them touching.
- Repeat for the remaining amount of dough. Enjoy while still warm with a glass of milk.
